Venue Hire — Community Buildings
Penmaenmawr Town Council supports a number of community buildings, in and around Penmaenmawr, which are all available for public hire and use.
A great community resource, they vary in size and facilities. Between them, they offer a good choice of affordable venues for parties, events, weddings and meetings.

Based off Fernbrook Road car park, our community library has excellent parking facilities.
Recently refurbished inside, it has a preparation kitchen (no cooking facilities), disabled toilets, from WI FI and is fully carpeted.
A great venue for meetings and talks, there is a meeting room which will accommodate 10 to 12 people. The library itself is available for use outside opening hours and will accommodate up to 60 people.

The community centre is situated at the end of the Victorian arcade, opposite the Mountain View. Facilities include one large hall c.12m square, one smaller meeting room c. 3.5m x 8m and a kitchenette.
Upstairs there is a large hall with a sprung floor for dancing, full lighting and sound system available for concert type venues. Full disabled access with lift to first floor. Small kitchen for food preparation and washing up - no cooking facilities. Great location for kids parties - the hall is big enough to accommodate a bouncy castle. Disabled loo.
Upper chamber available for hire for meetings seats up to 20 people.
Limited parking available up to 10 cars at the centre. Best parking is in the car park in Fernbrook Road, two minutes walk from the Community Centre.

Formerly the old Co-op building, Maen Alaw is a large venue with high ceilings and an airy feel.
Great for films, talks, meetings, receptions, dinners. One large hall c 12m x 7m. Full catering kitchen, including disabled cooking facilities - excellent facilities for cooking meals for large numbers; crockery, glassware, cutlery all available. it has disabled loos and disabled parking is provided by the door for four vehicles. Other parking on the road nearby.
Capelulo Village Hall
Lovely location by the river. Great for parties for up to 50 people, training sessions, art exhibitions. Basic kitchen - no cooking facilities - washing up only. Disabled loos. Outside space for a BBQ in the Summer. Great for kids' parties because there's plenty of space outside. Car parking for 4 cars. Large groups can use the community bus. One room for hire c 6m square.
